Nobody, as long as he moves about among the chaotic currents of life, is without trouble."

What I do
Therapy offers the support necessary to gain insight into your past and present way of being. It helps you to understand yourself better and enables a greater sense of self-acceptance. I can help with issues, including, anxiety, low mood, low self esteem, loss, trauma and stress. I can help you to understand and change unhelpful patterns of behaviour and thinking.

How I work

I work psychodynamically. This way of working focuses on the importance of the unconscious and the way that past experience shapes current behaviour. I aim to help you to make sense of your current situation and the feelings and thoughts associated with it in the context of past experience.

My training
After a career with one of the big four accounting firms, I trained in
Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Birkbeck College in London. I have experience of working with adults of all ages. I
have worked in a variety of settings,
including, with young adults in a University Counselling Service and with adults in community counselling agencies. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

where I work
I work face to face from consulting
rooms in central Bedford and in Milton
Keynes, online and on the telephone. I offer both short and long
term therapy. We can discuss your needs at the initial assessment session.

Cost and sessions

The standard charge is £50 per session. I offer a limited number of lower cost sessions.
